CLub Brown Send Off

Club Brown South Send-Off

What a wonderful send-off for Bobby and Patti to Club Brown South. Sorry, that's the closest we could get them together that night (after all, they will be in close quarters for the whole ride to Florida!).

Soon, we will pass the torch for Club Management to the next generation,
or should we..............????????? Oops! Where's Jessica? Hopefully she's the piece of the puzzle that will bring it all together.

The current Club Management is having some thoughts about passing down the torch to the next generation (especially when the kids asked what our limit was on our charge cards!!).

Hey!! I recognize that kid, AGAIN!!!!! Who's watching the door???? Where's our security detail? Oh, wait!  Management just realized that we don't have a security officer.  That will have to be remedied at the next board meeting.  Someone make a note of that.

Although our Club Health & Safety/Fire Suppression person may not look like he's on the ball (it's all part of his undercover work), he did find a safety concern below.

But Uncle Bobby says it will be OK until he returns in the spring!

Club Brown Brunch

Club Brown offered a function that was for early birds. The Club Brunch began at 10:00 in the morning - although we all know that it was 5 o'clock somewhere. As guests arrived, the player piano played some classical music to welcome those who entered through the front entryway. Many treats awaited those who were able to get out of bed early. Delectable delicacies included: scrambled eggs (72 of them), biscuits and gravy (80), bacon (5 pounds), sausage (3 pounds), sweet rolls, Julie's famous cinnamon rolls, fruit, bagels, desserts, and of course, Tony was there to assist those who were parched! The Tiki Bar was alive with Bloody Marys, Mimosas, screwdrivers, and whatever anyone desired. Sheila's fresh flowers added to the ambiance of the Sunday affair.

Some people found the early start time a bit difficult. Uncle Tommy was one of those. He did make it, though, wearing his favorite Sunday pajamas. Luckily for the rest of the attendees, he left his Teddy Bear at home.

Due to the ever growing Club Brown memberships, new members have to be taught the official Tiki Bar stance (aka "lean") to prepare for the after effects of the Club libations. Club Member Ritch is demonstrating the lean in this picture.

Sometimes there weren't enough hands to fully appreciate all the Club had to offer. (Pay no attention to the chap in the red hat pouring himself a drink at the bar.) Surely, the Club Brown bartenders check IDs. He told us he was 21. What color bracelet were we supposed to be wearing that day?

Not only were the food and drinks in abundance, but good conversation was overheard, also. As a matter of fact, if any of you need to "pimp your ride," from what management overheard, these two could get it done!!

The Club was also able to add to their membership roster at the brunch. Here's Marge discussing the Club benefits with our newest member, Elena.

Although the brunch went well into the evening...some did not make it to the afternoon. Again, isn't anybody checking IDs?????
